RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019 – Application, Status, Syllabus

RRB NTPC 2019 – Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and Railway Recruitment Cells (RRCs) is starting the RRB NTPC 2019 Application Form fill up from February 28, 2019. RRB has released the details of the RRB NTPC 2019 Recruitment via the notice no. RRB/ CEN 01/ 2019. The notice contains details of 1.3 Lakh vacancies. The Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) include 9 posts in total. The recruitment process includes clearing the common CBT and followed by typing skill test or Aptitude test based on the post applied for. RRB NTPC 2019

After 2015, this is the first time that the RRB NTPC recruitment is being held. To apply for the recruitment the candidates have to start with the online application form fill up. Also, the RRB NTPC 2019 Recruitment demands fulfilling of certain eligibility norms as per the post applied under NTPC. RRB NTPC 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility norms that the candidates need to fulfill to be able to apply for the RRB NTPC 2019 recruitment. RRB is known to be very strict with their eligibility criteria. After the examination, each of the eligibility criteria is cross-checked in the document verification process. The candidates who find to be misleading might be banned from any RRB recruitment. Age criteria: The lower age limit to apply for RRB NTPC is 18 years and the upper age limit is 32 years. However, the upper age limit is relaxed for the candidates belonging to the different reservation categories:

Educational Qualification:

The candidates who are willing to apply for RRB NTPC 2019 recruitment must have the following educational qualifications:

  • The educational qualification must be recognized by a Board/University /Institute.
  • You must have completed the 12 years of schooling.
  • Those awaiting results of the final examination are not eligible to apply for the recruitments of RRB NTPC 2019.
  • The educational qualification must be as per the post they are applying under RRB NTPC 2019. The Post wise educational qualifications are as follows:

Medical Needs:

The candidates must satisfy the medical standards as per the post they are applying form. The medical standard set by the railways fall under the following categories:

  • A2: This category is for the candidates who are physically fit in all respects. Such candidates who have a vision of 6/9 without glass will fall under this category.
  • C1: Those candidates who are physically fit in all respects and have a vision of 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses fall in this category.

The A2 category of medical standard is applicable for: Traffic Apprentice, Goods Guard, Assistant Station Master, and Traffic Assistant Posts.

Whereas the C1 category of medical standard is applicable for: The Senior Time Keeper, Senior Clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant-Cum-Typist, Enquiry-Cum-Reservation Clerk, and Commercial Apprentice.

RRB NTPC 2019 Application Form

Candidates are required to apply online at any one of the RRB website before the last date. Note that applications submitted via any third party website are rejected. The candidates are required to complete the application process at the website of any one the RRBs.

Register and fill the application form:

  • Click on the direct link to apply online available on this page or visit the official website and find the link that says “ONLINE/E-Application”
  • Next, click on the “New Registration” link.
  • Register using the basic details asked therein.
  • You need to login in the next step using the generated Registration number and passowrd.
  • Fill up the application form that appear on the next screen.
  • Pay the application form next using the online mode debit/credit card or net banking or via the SBI e-challan.

Uploading Images:

After the above steps the candidates need to relogin to upload the documents and scanned images.

  • Find the upload link after relogging.
  • Now upload your recent colour photograph
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST have to upload scanned copy of their SC/ST certificates for availing the facility of free travel authority.

Printing the application form:

  • Submit the application.
  • Print out the acknowledgment for records.

Application Fees: Rs. 100/-. However, there is no application fee for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen, Women, Minorities, Transgenders, Persons with Disabilities and Economically backward classes

RRB NTPC 2019 Application Form Correction

Now the candidates who wish to make any changes in their application form even after the submission can do so. To do so the candidates have to login using their registration number and password.

Fee for correction: An additional modification fee of Rs. 100 will be charged for corrections after final submissions from all the candidates.

To make corrections the candidates have to apply the easy steps below:

  • Login using Registration Number and Password.
  • Pay additional fee using the online mode – net banking, credit/debit card or via e-challan of SBI.
  • After making payment login using Registration Number and Password and proceed with the modification.
  • Take print out of the revised acknowledgement slip generated.

Note that RRBs can rejected the application forms due to any one of the following reasons:

  1. Improper photograph
  2. Not possessing prescribed qualifications
  3. Over aged or under aged or filling the date of birth incorrectly.
  4. If you have been earlier debarred from any of the RRB recruitments.
  5. Multiple/duplicate application form submissions.
  6. Incorrect or incomplete application form.
  7. Any other irregularities that is not acceptable by the RRBs.

RRB NTPC 2019 Recruitment Process

The selection for the various vacancies available under NTPC will be done on the basis of a single common Computer based test. There are 9 posts under the RRB NTPC 2019. The recruitment is carried out by the Railway Recruitment Board one of the largest recruiter in India. Here is how the RRB NTPC recruitment is made:

Clear the Common CBT: As mentioned above, there are 9 posts under the RRB NTPC. initially, all the registered candidates have to seat in this common computer-based test regardless of the post they have applied for.

Appear in the next stage (Typing skill test or Aptitude Test): The candidates clearing the CBT have to appear in the next stage if their post demands so.

  • Note 1: that for the posts where the candidates have to appear in the aptitude/typing skill test, they need to clear the CBT first. If the CBT is not cleared, they are ineligible for the further tests.
  • Note 2: Candidates called for Aptitude Test for the post of ASM & Traffic Assistant have to bring a Vision Certificate to Aptitude Test centre from an Eye Specialist on prescribed format, failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the Aptitude Test.

Selection of the candidates: Selection is made strictly according to merit on the basis of CBT and Aptitude Test, Typing skill test of qualifying nature wherever applicable. Candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for document verification in the main list. In addition, 50% extra candidates are also called as standby unless otherwise Specified.

Document Verifications: The candidates need to come to the document verification center in person and with the documents in original and a set of their photocopies.

Medical Fitness Test: This is the final stage of the recruitment process. The candidates selected for appointment are to appear in their respective medical fitness tests. They have to fit into their post wise medical fitness needs to get the final appointments.

RRB NTPC 2019 Exam Pattern For CBT

Below is the exam pattern of the common CBT exam that is held for the RRB NTPC recruitment. The candidates who are interested and are applying for this recruitment, have to clear the CBT to be able to move on to the further process. Thus knowing the exam pattern comes in handy. RRB NTPC 2019 Admit Card

The admit card of the RRB NTPC 2019 is issued to the registered candidates to appear in the CBT exam. The admit card is of utmost importance as this is the only document that allows the candidates to prove their identity at the exam hall and thus take the examination.

  • Note that the issuance of the call letter/admit card is not an indication of the selection.
  • The e-admit card is available in the online mode only.
  • The candidates need to download the admit card form the website and RRB does not send any admit card to any candidate.

The SC/ST candidates who have availed the free travel pass facility will have their travel authority in the e-admit card itself. Such candidates will get to book their tickets on submission of a copy of their e-call letter/admit card and a self attested copy of their SC/ST certificate.

The admit card must be downloaded and printed. It must be carried at the exam center with a valid photo id proof in original.

RRB NTPC 2019 Result

After the CBT exam, aptitude and typing skill test, wherever needed, the RRBs will release the merit list with the name of the qualified candidates. The merit list will have the name of the candidates equal to the number of the vacancies available. The candidates selected in the RRB NTPC 2019 Merit List have to appear in the document verification rounds. The merit list is uploaded on the website of the RRBs.

For the candidates appearing in CBT and Aptitude Test, 70% weightage will be given to marks obtained in the CBT and 30% weightage being given to the marks obtained in aptitude test, while preparing the merit.

Q1: What is Grade pay (GP)?

A: Apart from basic pay, government employees receive grade pay which depends on the category/class of employee. Thus for each pay scale and post, you are assigned a particular GP based on which you get increment:

For example –

If,

Rs 5200 = The minimum starting basic salary in the scale

20200= The maximum salary paid in this pay scale

Rs 1800 = The Grade Pay based on your rank

Then, when you are appointed in this pay scale, you Basic Salary for the purpose of increment will be: Rs 5200 + 1800 = 7000

Q2: Whether second chance may be given to the candidates who remained absent in Aptitude Test?

A: No.
