Railway declares the results of the RRB Group D CBT 2018 on its official websites in February 2019. The RRB Group D Result for CBT is to shortlist the candidates for the PET (Physical Efficiency Test). The RRB CBT Exam was conducted from October to December 2018. Around 2 crore students appeared for the exam, which lasted for 51 days. How to view the RRB Group D CBT Merit List?
A candidate can view the Merit List of the RRB Group D CBT Exam 2018. Here are the steps to view the Merit list
- Go to the RRB for which you want to see the result.
- Click on the link saying ”Result of CBT” underneath the ”CEN 02” heading
- A PDF file with the roll numbers of the selected candidates will appear
Note- The different levels of Medical Standards are given in the table belowhe roll numbers given in the Merit List are not arranged rank-wise but in an ascending order.
How to view the RRB Group D Score?
A candidate can also view the RRB Group D CBT score. Not only the score is given but the answers marked during the examinations are also provided. A candidate view the score by using the login Id and the Date of Birth. The option will be provided on the official RRBs.
RRB Group D Stages of Examination
RRB Group D examinations are held in two stages-CBT(Computer Based Test) and PET(Physical Efficiency Test). The CBT is a Multiple Choice Questions type exam. Students who qualify the CBT then appear for the PET.
CBT- It is a Multiple Choice Questions type examination. There are 100 questions in the exam and a negative marking of 1/3 out of the total marks allotted for each wrong answer. Students, who go through the next stage are going to make the Merit List.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
PET tests the physical skills of a candidate. It is not a marks based assessment. Candidates, twice as much as the post vacancies will be called for the PET. Candidates will only be given one chance to perform these activities. Following is the criteria to qualify the PET
For Males:
- Should be able to carry a weight of 35 kgs for a distance of 100 m in 2 minutes.
- Should be able to cover a distance of 1000 m in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
For Females:
- Should be able to carry a weight of 20 kgs for a distance of 100 m in 2 minutes.
- Should be able to cover a distance of 1000 m in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.
RRB CBT Marks Normalization
RRB normalizes the raw marks obtained by a candidate to develop a Merit Index. The overall percentage is dependent upon the raw marks scored by a candidate. The normalization of marks take into account the difficulty of exams and the sessions as well. The purpose of this normalization is to develop a common index for different posts. The normalization of marks is then used to generate a cut-off list.

In order to appear for the PET, a candidate needs to acquire a certain amount of percentage. Following is the list of minimum percentage a candidate should have for appearing in the PET

A relaxation of 2% will be given to the PwD candidates if there is a shortage of PWD candidates against the number of vacancies.
RRB Group D Medical/Document Verification
The candidates have to go through a medical test and be medically fit according to the norms set for the selection. In order to get selected, a candidate also needs to produce a certain set of documents for eligibility verification.
